Bremerton, Washington
Tracey Anne Smith of Bremerton Washington passed on to be with the Lord February 20, 2016 surrounded by loving family. She is survived by her husband Leith, and their children, Caleb, Irene, Sophia, Jeriah, and Joash. Survived as well by her mother Carol Lee McDonough of Ballston Spa New York, and brothers Kevin (Lori) McDonough of Jay New York and Timothy McDonough of Saint Louis Missouri. Preceded in death by her father Joseph McDonough of Kingston New York.
Born in New York State, she attended Saint Mary's Elementary School and was a graduate of Ballston Spa High School, class of 1987. A believer and follower of Jesus Christ, Tracey attended Alaska Bible Institute in Homer Alaska along with her husband Leith. Tracey studied in Tacoma Washington to obtain certification and license in massage therapy.
Tracey loved her role as a mom and journeyed through life with a nurturing heart. She cared more about what was going on inside an individual as opposed to any appearances. Photographer extraordinaire, she sealed cherished moments from behind her camera lens. A lover of the great outdoors, she worked on charter fishing boats in Alaska and fought forest fires in California. Swimmer, lifeguard, and swim instructor. Soccer player, soccer mom, and soccer coach. She was an avid reader and would often pass spare time buried in books. Tracey loved mountain hikes, and hot spring visits. She was a mud pie, grassy field, barefoot kind of girl.
There are no words to express the loss that we feel today, yet we rejoice in the assurance that she is now with her loving creator. Tracey, we love you so very much.
