Stephen Harvey, Sr.

Stephen Harvey Sr, 76, of Bremerton died peacefully in his home of natural causes with his wife, Chris, by his side on July 18, 2023.

He was born June 10, 1947, in Pittsburg, California, to William and Iva (Terry) Harvey.

He graduated in 1965 from West Pittsburg High School in Pittsburg, California.

He married Christina Crippen on July 4, 2002, in Bremerton.

He served in the Army in Korea. He worked several years at Crown Zellerbach in Antioch, California and then worked 32 years at PSNS in Bremerton before retiring in 2011.

He enjoyed bowling, playing poker, fishing, camping and taking long drives.

Survivors include his wife, Chris; two sons, Stephen Jr of Poulsbo, Taylor Crippen of Bremerton; two daughters Tori Edwards of Poulsbo and Jennifer Roy of Bremerton; two brothers, Mike Harvey of Concord, California and Bill Harvey of Rescue, California; ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his son David in 2014 and by his sister Susan Prather earlier this year.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 26th at his home where his family and friends will share memories and retell old stories as he loved to do.
