Sirena Janae Yates Obituary (2000

Sirena Janae Kealii Holokahiki Yates, 7, of Poulsbo passed away in on January 2, 2008. Sirena was born on December 27, 2000 in Fredericksburg, VA to Timothy E. and Karen D. (Bartrand) Yates. Sirena was a first grader at Poulsbo Elementary. She was a member of the North Kitsap Baptist Church Awana Club. Sirena loved all creatures great and small. She loved her pet parakeets "Sugar" and "Kiwi" and "Maya" the family dog. Sirena especially enjoyed playing board and card games and playing hide and seek. She liked to ride her bicycle. Sirena had a love of God and church. She had a personal relationship with God. She was a mischievous angel. Sirena is survived by her parents of Poulsbo; brothers, Dane, Jacob and Luke of Poulsbo; maternal grandmother, Kealii Bartrand of Honolulu, HI; and paternal grandparents, William "YA" and Nancy Yates of Poulsbo. Public visitation for Sirena will be held at 9:00am, Saturday, January 12th at the Christ Memorial Church in Poulsbo. Funeral services will follow at 10:00am. Interment will be at Cherry Grove Memorial Park in Poulsbo. Arrangements are entrusted to The Stone Chapel Poulsbo Mortuary.
