Sione Amaola Mafi

Sione Amaola Mafi passed away on January 15, 2023, in Seattle, Washington, at the age of 5. Born June 1st, 2017, in Silverdale, Washington to Suliasi "Suli" Mafi and Kayla Jeanne Mafi (Taueli). He was a kindergartner at Cougar Valley Elementary in Silverdale, Washington.

Sione loved music and Disney movies. His favorite was Coco.

Survivors include his parents, Suli and Kayla Mafi; brother Nathaniel Suliasi Mafi, age 7; sister Siokapesi "Pesi" Mafi, age 4; maternal grandparents Cheryl Erickson and Falani Taueli of Bremerton, Washington; paternal grandparents Sione and Mele Fakaanga of Nakolo, Tongatapu, Tonga; aunties Kakala Taueli of Bremerton, Washington, Akanesi Uhamaka Afu of Tonga, Seini Ala Politoni of Australia, Latai Tualau of Australia, Halahuni Fakaanga of Tonga, Wendy Navis of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; uncles Sione Allen of Bremerton, Washington, Halahuni Fakaanga of Tonga, Keith Butterfield of St. Paul, Minnesota, Keith Navis of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; cousins Falani Taueli of Bremerton, Washington, Simi Malohi Fatu Taueli Tupai of Bremerton, Washington, Silia Moala of Australia, Mele Fakaanga of Tonga, Taumoefolau Filipe Afu, Jr. of Tonga, Edwin Morris Tualau of Tonga, Sebastian Basil Ofa Ki Martinez Moala of Tonga, Nadiyarose Politoni of Australia, Isaac Andrew he Kelesi Politoni of Australia, and many other extended family in Arizona, California, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Utah, Tonga, New Zealand and Australia. He was preceded in death by his uncle John Falani Taueli.

Services will be held at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Bremerton, Washington. Viewing and visitation will be held February 9th, 2023, from 12-4pm. Additional visitation will be held February 10th, 2023 from 10am to 12pm. Service at 12pm with burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bremerton, Washington immediately following. There will be a reception at Lewis Chapel after burial from 2-430pm.
