Roy W. Heaton

Roy W. Heaton of Suquamish, WA, passed away on May 12, 2003 at Martha and Mary Nursing Home in Poulsbo, Wa. He was 85 years of age. Roy was born on August 19, 1917 in Bremerton to Albert W. and Alpha O. (Selbo) Heaton. He grew up locally and graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1938. Roy worked as a Machinist for PSNS in Bremerton. He did so for 29 years.

In 1941, Roy married Lenore Nutt. She preceded him in death in 1966. Roy later met and remained with his companion, Joyce Harvey, until his passing. He was a member of F.O.E. and also enjoyed fishing.

Roy is survived by one son, Michael Heaton (Gretchen) of San Juan, Puerto Rico; two daughters, Claudia Heaton of Kirkland, WA and April Ranstead (Dennis) of Bremerton, WA.

A memorial service will be held at the Poulsbo F.O.E. on Lincoln Rd, on May 17, 2003 at 2pm. Inurnment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bremerton.
