Roger M. Escorpizo

February 8, 1944 – October 26, 2026

Roger M. Escorpizo, 82, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, United States Navy veteran, and quiet hero to many, passed away on October 26, 2026.

Born in Baguio, Philippines, Roger lived a life defined by generosity, loyalty, kindness, and unconditional love. A natural leader, provider, and protector, he dedicated his life to building a future for his family and helping others along the way.

Roger shared 55 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Lolita. Their love story began as young neighbors in the Philippines. Though life took him far from home, he returned to find her, and together they built the life and family he cherished most.

A devoted father to Gina and Derrick, a proud grandfather to Bruce and Rex, and a caring brother to all his siblings. Roger was a steady source of wisdom, encouragement, and strength. His calming presence, witty humor, love of sports, tinkering, and occasional trips to the casino brought warmth and laughter to those around him.

Above all, Roger will be remembered for his extraordinary generosity. He quietly gave his time, resources, and talents to family, friends, and those in need, never seeking recognition or passing judgment. He believed in treating others with kindness and respect, and his loyalty and love remained unwavering through life’s most difficult moments.

His greatest pride was the life he built, and his greatest legacy lives on in the values he passed to his family.

Roger often reminded those he loved to remain calm, not to worry, and never to lose their temper. His advice was simple, but it captured the wisdom and spirit of the man they will forever remember:

“Stay cool.”

Roger is lovingly remembered by his wife, Lolita; his children, Gina and Derrick (and his partner, Julien); his grandsons, Bruce and Rex; his brothers and sisters, and his extended family and friends.

His kindness, quiet strength, and generous spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched.
