Robert Clayton Prouty Obituary (1925

Robert C. "Bob" Prouty, 81, of Poulsbo died March 3, 2007 at his home. He was born in Portland, Ore., to Clement and Frances Prouty on April 7, 1925. On June 17, 1946, he married Evelyn Lathrop in Portland. Robert served in the Navy from 1943 to 1946, reaching the rank of radar third class. He later was an insurance agent and retired from Junction Insurance. He also worked as a marathon oil truck driver from 1950 to 1966 in Indiana. He was a treasurer for Poulsbo Noon Lions. Robert enjoyed woodworking, camping at the ocean, bowling, was an avid Seattle, Mariners fan, and playing with his dog "Teddi". Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Vince Prouty. Survivors include his wife; his daughters, Debra Bacher, Janine (Dennis) Deakin, Patricia (Rich) Horn; a son, Michael (Deb) Prouty; a sister, Kathryn Hoech; and grandchildren, Jonathon, Brian, Kevin, Michaela and Karyn.
