Rama Gopal Eachempati Obituary (1930

Lt. Col. Rama Gopal Eachempati (US Army Ret.) of Kingston, WA, formerly of St. Louis, MO, passed away in his sleep on Sunday January 8, 2017 at age 86. He was the first child of Eachempati Rajagopalacharyulu and Subhadra. He is survived by his sons, Aditya of Chesterfield, MO and Soumitra of New York, NY, their mother Uma, eight siblings, and many nieces, nephews and friends in the USA, India, Germany, and around the world. His medical career in Endocrinology, Internal Medicine and Nuclear Medicine started in India and took him to Harvard University, University of Michigan, St. Louis University, Letterman Army Medical Center, Landstuhl Army Medical Center, and Fort Gordon. He served at the Seattle VA until the last years of his life. He was a dedicated doctor, teacher and soldier. He spoke seven languages, and enjoyed Indian and Western Classical music, travel, and cooking. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at northwestharvest.org.
