Postell Green Obituary (1938

In loving memory of Postell Green 9/19/1938 - 8/9/2020. A loving Husband, Father, Grandpa, Navy Veteran and pillar of the Kitsap County Community. Postell gave numerous hours of his time; actively involved and lifetime member in the NAACP, lifetime American Legion member, over a 25-year span coaching ball teams in Kitsap County with the Sheridan and East Bremerton Pee Wees and with the Central Kitsap Babe Ruth league. He was a Vietnam War Veteran and proud plank owner as a crew member of the (CVAN-65) USS Enterprise during his military service until Honorably discharged. Postell was an avid lover of games as a hobby whether it was playing softball with the Bremerton Senior Softball League or playing cards especially spades. Bonding as a family over tournaments, playing dominoes, cribbage and ping pong with family and friends both at home and at the Bremerton Senior Center. Postell is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Mary Francis Green, his sister Helen Jerry, and 11 children 9 boys and 2 girls, Tony Green, Alex Green, Carmen Green, Kelvin Green, Donnie McGill, Ronnie McGill, Lonnie McGill, Ernie McGill, Connie McGill, Tommie McGill, and Gerald Green that will carry on his legacy.
