Philip Michael O'Brien

It is with the greatest love, honor and pride that we pronounce the peaceful passing of P. Michael O'Brien, 68, of Silverdale, WA while lovingly surrounded by his family in his home Monday evening, October 4, 2010. Mike was born September 22, 1942 in Tacoma, WA as the first son of William James and Helen Patricia O'Brien (Prothero) of Tacoma.

Graduate of Bellarmine HS, recognized and respected athlete, retired and distinguished Tacoma Police Officer bestowed with the department's highest award, the Medal of Valor. In retirement Mike greatly enjoyed transporting Kitsap County Schools' youths.
Mike's spirit and memories are held dearly by his beautiful and most loving wife Margaret Adele O'Brien (Eley), sons P. Michael, Jr. and Sean Patrick O'Brien, daughters Shannon Marie Martinez (O'Brien) and Meghan Kathleen O'Brien, grandchildren Kailah Marie, Liam Connolly, Cade Reilly, Moirin Reilly O'Brien, Zachary Robert and Zoey Ann Martinez, and brothers Steven William and Patrick James (PJ) O'Brien.

Mike's legacy: Always be kind and respectful with Truth, Honor and Integrity - always do right. Services are Saturday, October 16 - 1pm at Stone Chapel in Poulsbo, followed by a reception at Sons of Norway in Poulsbo.
