Patricia "Pat" (Tolan) Lund Obituary (1936

Patricia "Pat" (Tolan) Lund-80 of Poulsbo, WA was welcomed into the arms of her Savior at 10:00 pm on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016 at the Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, WA. She was born on March 19, 1936 in Tacoma, WA to John and Dorothy Tolan. She married Gayle Lund on Sept. 7th, 1958. Patricia is survived by her foster mother: Pearl Dodson (Marvin-R.I.P) and foster sisters: Marvelyn "Pug" Cook (Lee) and Sharon Veatch (John). She is also survived by her husband Gayle Lund, her 4 children: Bert Dato (Denice), Mark Lund (Janelle), Shelly Young, Staci Jocson (Homer), her 9 grandchildren: Tony Young, Kristyn Lund, Melena Young, Kyle Lund, Dominic "Nikko" Jocson, Kolter Lund, Alex Jocson, Konner Lund, Cody Dato. And one special great granddaughter: Kiele Hendricks. "Come on in! I just made a fresh pot of coffee!" These are the words that could be heard on a daily basis throughout Pat's year's as a selfless welcoming friend and neighbor. She loved visiting and talking to people on every different level from kids to seniors. In earlier years Pat had been trained as a dental assistant, and later as a grocery checker, but she found the most joy when she decided to stay at home to raise her kids. Half of her grand kids were blessed to share her home and gain from her endless love and wisdom. Pat was playful, creative, and had a childlike innocence that radiated from her inner most being. She had genuine strong ties with friends and family and would give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need. She will be sorely missed by those who were fortunate to know her. Public viewing prior to the funeral will be 11/2/16 and 11/3/16 from 10 am-4:30 pm at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Bremerton, WA. The funeral will be held at the Bremerton Church of the Nazarene, 924 Sheridan RD, Bremerton, WA at 11 am with a pre-viewing at 10 am on November 4, 2016. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to Pat's beloved Bremerton Nazarene Church, P.O. Box 2498, Bremerton, WA 98310 - where she attended and volunteered.
