Patricia DeJuan

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Patricia DeJuan (Castro) on January 10, 2026. Born on December 18, 1960, in Tamuning, Guam, Patricia made her home in Bremerton, Washington, for the last 27 years. Known affectionately as Patty, she was a beacon of love, generosity, and support to all who knew her.

Patricia was an adventurous soul, always eager to embark on spontaneous long drives, explore new places, and indulge in diverse cuisines. Her passion for discovery was only matched by her love for her family, which was at the heart of everything she did. A reliable rock and the supportive backbone of her family, Patricia's love was a guiding light, fostering a sense of unity and strength among her loved ones. As a homemaker, she created a warm, loving sanctuary where family and friends always felt welcome. Her infinity for collecting trinkets, cultural jewelry, and stuffed animals was reflective of her generous spirit and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures.

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband, Nelson DeJuan, with whom she shared a beautiful journey of love and companionship since their marriage on June 3, 1978. She leaves behind her loving children, Dhalia Kohler, Maryjane DeJesus, Kathrina Hudson, and Jesus DeJuan, 18 Grandchildren , & 10 Great-Grandchildren. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Teresita and Francisco Iriarte, her step-father, Antonio Castro, and her sons, Robert Castro and Peter DeJuan.

In the words of the Holy Scripture that Patricia held dear, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4) As we mourn Patricia's passing, let us also celebrate her vibrant life, her unwavering love for her family, and her unending generosity. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all those who had the privilege to know and love her.

The visitation, rosary, and funeral service will be held at Lewis Funeral Chapel, 5303 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, Washington, 98312, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 12:00pm PST.
