Olaf Svenson Obituary (1915

Olaf Svenson age 89, of Silverdale passed away September 23, 2004 at Harrison Hospital. He was born in Vinland, WA to Sivert and Mathia (Braskrud) Svenson on January 16, 1915. Olaf graduated from Poulsbo High School with the class of 1932. He later attended Olympic College. In 1941 in Seattle, WA Olaf married Emily Elfstrom. Olaf owned and operated the Mix after Six Store in East Bremerton and later the C&S Hardware Store in Silverdale. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, and the Sons of Norway. Olaf enjoyed fishing and enjoyed taking trips to Alaska to fish. In his younger years he also enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his sons Wayne and his wife Debra of Texas, Keith and wife Cynthia of Silverdale; brother Stanley and his wife Mary Swenson of Seabeck. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Emily, and sisters Alma Peterson, Martha Evenson, Selma Oien and brother Harold Svenson. A funeral service will be held at Lewis Funeral Chapel, Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
