Nancy L. Shaw

Nancy L. Shaw, 76, of Bremerton, WA passed away on February 17, 2015. Nancy was born on February 22, 1938 in Newport, WA to Arthur W. and Laura L. (Ownbey) Newburn.

A graduate of Bremerton High School, Nancy went on to work in the Bremerton School District as a Paraeducator at Bremerton Junior High and Bremerton High School's for 25 years.

She married Michael A. Shaw on July 4, 1960 in Bremerton.

Nancy was very active at Holy Trinity Catholic Church as a Charter Member who served on the Parish Council and building committee, and volunteered as church librarian and Eucharistic Minister. Nancy was also a past vice-president and life member of Public Schools Employees of WA, and enjoyed watching high school basketball, the Seahawks and Mariners.

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael and parents.

Nancy's memory will live on with her son, Steve (Frances); daughters, Debbie and Laurie; grandchildren, Jeff, Amy, Jason, Kristina, and Michael; and extended family, Rick and Kelly Balzaretti and their daughters, Kasee and Keelin.

Public visitation will be held at Lewis Funeral Chapel on Saturday, February 21st from 10am-2pm and at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Monday, February 23rd from 2-2:50pm, with a funeral mass following at 3pm. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
