Miriam Ruth Dunn

Miriam Ruth Dunn, 62, passed away February 17, 2021 in Silverdale. She was born June 10, 1958 in Manhattan, Kansas to Fred and Mary (Gibson) McCoy, and was one of six children. Miriam graduated from Grant Union High School in Sacramento, and married Clayton Dunn June 11, 1977. They eventually moved to Washington, where Miriam devoted herself to being a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She raised four sons, and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Tourette Syndrome Awareness Association. She loved tending to her large garden, quilting, knitting, puzzles, reading, teaching Sunday school, helping with church socials, entertaining, and cooking for her friends and family. Miriam was preceded in death by her mother Mary Collen King and brother Steven Andrew McCoy. She is survived by her husband Clay; sons Christopher Dunn of Bremerton, Ira Dunn of Kirkland, Danny Meckler of Burien, and Steven Meckler of Forrest Hill, California; her father Fred; brothers David McCoy of Carmichael, California, Phillip McCoy of Roseville, California, and Andy McCoy of Monument, Colorado; sister Kathy Bello of Winterville, North Carolina; father Edward King; mother Maria McCoy; and friends Phyllis Hickey, Joan Manns, and Mary Debore. Due to restrictions on gatherings from COVID, a remote memorial service will be held via Zoom on February 27th, 2021 at 2pm. Please RSVP to miriamdunnmemorial@gmail.com.
