Michael & Elsie (Simons) Creamer Obituary (2017

Michael Vincent and Elsie Marie (Simons) Creamer of Poulsbo, WA passed away on January 13th and June 10th, 2017 respectively. Michael was born on January 21, 1923 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Elsie on October 25, 1924 in St. Helens, OR. A graduate of Robert Lewis Stevenson High School in Hawaii, Michael went on to serve honorably in the US Navy during WWII as a Seaman-Second Class. Elsie was a graduate of St. Helens High School in Oregon. Michael and Elsie were married on December 25, 1946, and celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in 2016. Michael went on to work primarily as a salesman, making his career with R&H Holland, Bartell Drugs, Garretson Radio, Washington Electronics, Sterling Electronics, and Shelley-Ragon Electronics. Elsie was a loving homemaker and avid gardener. Both were devoted members of Bethany Lutheran Church of Bainbridge Island for over 40 years and joined the Sons of Norway in October, 1974. In their spare time, Michael enjoyed fishing, clamming, and woodworking, while Elsie enjoyed cooking, baking and serving at the Sons of Norway and Bethany Lutheran and working in her gardens. Together they also liked playing card games. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather and his twin brothers Alfred and Albert Creamer. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Edwin Simons; and sister, Edith Rabenecker. Together, Michael and Elsie's memory will live on with their children Brian (Myrna) of Poulsbo and daughter, Kathleen Ingram (Phil) of Everett, WA; 4 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, 7968 Finch Road, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110 on July 16, 2017 at 1pm. Inurnment was held at Cherry Grove Memorial Park in Poulsbo.
