Mary "May" Fitzpatrick Obituary (1923

Mary "May" E. Fitzpatrick, 84, of Bremerton passed away on April 14 on Bainbridge Island. She was born on April 2, 1923, in Dublin, Ireland, to James D. Bray and Mary A. (Gannon) Bray.May married William Fitzpatrick in 1945 in Dublin, Ireland. She had moved to the Kitsap area in 1979 with her family. Mrs. Fitzpatrick and her husband owned The Blarney Stone Restaurant in Poulsbo from 1981 until they retired in 1995. They also owned Millhouse Inn Bar and Restaurant in Ireland.May was a talented seamstress, devoted homemaker who enjoyed shopping and decorating.Mrs. Fitzpatrick is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; daughter, Joan M. Bouthillier; sons, Noel and Patrick; great-granddaughter, Katelyn Grover; daughter-in-law, Bernadette. She is survived by her sons, Paul (Olive), James, Martin, Liam, David (Dana) and Gerard; daughters, Rita Allsop (Brian), Jacqueline Burgess (David), all of the Kitsap and Mason area; brothers, Frank Bray (Monica) and Dominick Bray; sister, Patricia Blount; 24 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family would like to thank Island Health of Bainbridge Island and the staff in 3 North at Harrison Memorial Center for the excellent care they provided to Mary during her illness and the compassion they showed to her and her family during this difficult time.
