Martha Jane von Eschen Wright (Marty), 82, died on December 11, 2018 in Bremerton, Washington. She was born on July 27, 1936 in Lincoln, Nebraska of Leonard and Evelyn (Campbell) von Eschen.

Martha grew up in the Minneapolis area and graduated from Washburn High School. She went on to major in English at the University of Minnesota and was a proud member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She moved to Issaquah, Washington in 1969 and lived the rest of her years in Washington.

Highlights of her life include Cheerleading in high school, being a Flight Attendant, a ski instructor, and an Executive Recruiter in the field of communications. She was kind, intelligent, caring, fun, and had an infectious laugh and could be described as a rascal. She was passionate about the mountains, skiing, and dogs, especially German Shepherds.

Her last few years were spent in the Bay Vista Commons community where she was well cared for and became a favorite of everyone.

She is survived by her brother Peter von Eschen of Chicago, her four children, Cynthia Okawara, Patricia Battershill, Charles Wright, and John Wright as well as her seven grandchildren--Emily, Claire, JJ, Jett, Kai, Nolan, and Kate.
