Maria Guadalupe Bermudez

–

Bremerton, Washington

Maria Guadalupe Bermudez, born on October 30, 1951 in El Paso, Texas passed away peacefully in her home on January 31, 2025, in Bremerton, Washington. She was 73. Maria was the heart of our home and family. She was a beloved wife to her honey Manuel Jesus Bermudez for 56 years and a devoted mother to her children Brenda and Christopher Bermudez. Maria's legacy continues through her grandbabies Breanna, Paul, and Blake Bermudez.

Maria was the eldest of 11 children and leaves behind Irma Beatrice Pinedo, Julio Alfonso Castro Jr., Laura Castrellon, Cecilia Norman, Jesus Eduardo Castrellon, Luis Manuel Castrellon, Virginia Alvarez, and Maria Luisa Tapia. She also leaves behind daughter-in-law Erin Bermudez, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Maria attended and graduated from Bowie High School, El Paso, Texas. She continued her education and graduated from Los Angeles Mission College, San Fernando, California with an Associate of Arts (AA) in Liberal Arts. A woman of many skills worked and retired as an Eligibility Worker II from the County of Los Angeles.

She was a matriarch who brought her family and friends together with her unconditional love and being an extraordinary cook. Maria had a big heart full of love and compassion; she would lend a helping hand without hesitation whenever someone needed it most. Her faith, love, and words of wisdom have left a lasting impression on everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She will be greatly missed by many.

Lupe loved watching her daily mass and EWTN. On Saturday nights, she would be watching her Svengoolie with a snack and a diet coke. She was a hardcore Green Bay Packer fan who loved to shop and let us not forget she would treat herself to a Venti Mango Dragon fruit from Starbucks. She loved tending to her roses, cooking, eating, and spending time with her familia.
Let us honor Maria Guadalupe Bermudez the loving wife, mother, grandmother, and so much more whose love will be forever in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by parents, Julio Alfonso Castro, Maria Luisa Castrellon (Delgado), and Raul Castrellon, brothers Rafael and Jose Raul Castrellon.
