Margaret Elinor Clark

Margaret Elinor Clark, 89, formerly of Port Orchard, died on August 20. Born July 23, 1918 in Seattle to Robert and Margaret (Weimer) Compton, Elinor was raised in Seabeck and graduated from Port Washington Union High School (CK) in 1936. Elinor married Charles E. Clark on June 9, 1936 in Seabeck. He preceded her in death in 1988. Elinor was a caring wife, mother and homemaker. She attended CK Presbyterian Church in Silverdale and Port Orchard Methodist in Port Orchard. Elinor was a member of SK faculty wives and Orthopedic Guild. Her hobbies included oil painting, crafts, cake baking and decorating, vegetable gardening and flowers, especially Dahlia's and Chrysanthemums. She provided EPO Elementary and friends with numerous bouquets and won many ribbons at flower shows. She is survived by her sons Tom (Sue) of Lakebay; Bill (Gloria) of Silverdale; grandchildren Kim, David (Sarah), Debbie. Private graveside services will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Crista Shores, August 27 at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Central Kitsap Presbyterian Church, Adult Senior Ministries, 9300 Nels Nelson Rd., Bremerton, WA 98311.
