M. Morrell Jensen

M. Morrell Jensen, 91 of Bremerton, passed away on February 5th in Venice, FL. Morrell was born on November 7, 1919 to Winter and Jane (Handy) Metcalf in Bremerton.

She married Alfred J. Jensen on October 11, 1940 in Bremerton. Morrell worked as an accountant at the Naval Hospital and retired in 1982. After retiring, Morrell volunteered as a Teacher's Assistant at Naval Avenue Grade School for several years. She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and the Bremerton Yacht Club. Morrell also enjoyed gardening, baking and sewing.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; son Richard; and brothers, Stanley, Lewis, LeRoy and Winston.

Morrell is survived by her daughters, Tamara Loring (Mark) of Venice, FL and Christine Castro (Robert) of Silverdale, WA; grandchildren, Becky and Christa Loring and Raquel, Chad and Rob Castro; and great-grandchildren, Alleson, Cami, Dylan, Jasmine Rose, Cash and Jax.

Visitation will be held at Lewis Funeral Chapel on Thursday, Feb. 10th from 10am-5pm. A graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery will be Saturday, Feb. 12th at 1pm.
