Luther A. Billings

Luther "Bill" Billings, age 85, of Hansville, died at his home on June 7, 2007. He was born in Devon, KS to Opal and Luther Billings. He married Shirley J. Bishop on May 26, 1958. Bill served in the US Navy from 1942-1945, achieving the rank of Amm2. He was a firefighter for the city of Seattle for 23 years until his retirement in 1969. Bill was a member of the Doric Masonic Lodge and the Nile Temple. Bill will be remembered as a very good and avid fisherman. A memorial service will be held at a later date. At Bill's request his remains will be scattered. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife Shirley; son Thomas and wife Debbie of Pendleton, OR; sisters Wanda Gangloff of Wilkeson, WA and Pat Sekiya of Stayton, OR; grandchildren Kelly and wife Shawna of Napa, ID, Kevin and wife Janele of Meridian, ID; great-granddaughters Karsyn and Emmy; special friend Darlene Zimmer.
