Loren Johnson

–

Bremerton, Washington

Loren Ray Johnson, aged 75, passed away peacefully on August 30th, 2026, in Bremerton, Washington.

Born on August 11, 1951, in Seattle, Washington, he grew up in Lake Forest Park.

Loren lived a life defined by hard work, service to others, and deep devotion to his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Army before relocating to Kitsap County in 1974. He and his beloved wife, Celia, shared fifty-one years of marriage and built a life centered around their faith, family, and community.

A respected fixture in the local business community, Loren spent more than 50 years in real estate. He established Century 21 Cameron in Port Orchard in 1980 before moving to Reid Real Estate in 2000. He took great pride in his staff and deeply valued the relationships he built with the many people who worked alongside him over the years, including longtime staff members Misty, Matt, Nelly, Paul, and David. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Northwest Multiple Listing Service for many years, twice as it's Chairman.

Loren will be remembered by colleagues and clients alike as a deeply charitable, caring, and principled man.

Loren valued friendship, conversation, and humor and was fortunate to share all three with many people throughout his life. His friends Murry, Ron, and Ed were always good for a chat, while golfing companions Larry, Chuck, Jeff, and Jay kindly tolerated his golfing skills.

Loren became a member of the Bahá’í Faith in 1977, and his faith remained an important part of his life for the next five decades. He sought to live his belief in the oneness of humanity through daily acts of kindness and a deep commitment to service. Together with Celia, he devoted countless weekends, summers, and winter holidays to Brighton Creek Conference Center, helping to renovate and care for the property, while also serving on its Board of Directors, and supporting the summer schools, youth programs, and children’s camps held there.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Celia Merritt Johnson; his three children, Rae (Jon), Charisse (Anil), and Cameron (Caroline); and his four cherished grandchildren, Loren, Ruiqi, Hazel, and Anis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Johnson and Vena Welch, as well as his brothers, Jerry, Michael, and Richard.

The family wants to thank Kaiser Hospice and their team members Ann and Jennifer, and his physicians, Connie Stonestreet and Joel Martin, and Stephanie.

Condolence letters and cards may be sent to P.O.Box 4393 Bremerton, WA 98312

A reception will be held Thursday, September 3rd, at Lewis Funeral Home at 2-3:30pm, followed by a Private Family burial.

You...should ... regard backbiting as grievous error ... as backbiting quencheth the light of the heart, and extinguisheth the life of the soul. ~ Bahá'u'lláh
