Leona T. Wells

Leona T. Wells, 88, of Bremerton, passed away on February 21, 2017 in Silverdale. She was born on April 5, 1928 in St. Louis, MO to Herman Thuro and Emma (Kuhlmann) Thuro. She was a graduate of South West High School in St. Louis, MO. Leona married Weiford Wells at Hope Lutheran Church in St .Louis, MO. She worked for Southwest Bell Phone Company in St. Louis, MO. Leona and Wieford moved to Washington after many years living in Missouri. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, enjoyed gardening and traveling. Leona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Weiford; sister, Elfrieda Gehl of So. St. Louis County and Arline Doering of St. Louis County. She is survived by her brother, Herman Thuro.
