Leita L. Barber Obituary (1914

Leita L. Barber, age 93, of Silverdale, WA, died in Clearbrook Inn of Silverdale on June 5, 2007. She was born January 12, 1914 in Sioux Falls, SD to Orville and Elsie (Smith) Shaw. She married James E. Barber in Bremerton, WA on January 6, 1934. Leita was a dedicated homemaker and mother who enjoyed gardening. She was preceded by her husband; daughter Beverly Ann Casebier; sisters Lorraine Shaw, Marie Smith, Evelyn (Peachie) Smith and brother Earnest Shaw. She is survived by her son James G. Barber (Marlene) of Seabeck, WA; brothers Bernard and Paul Shaw, both of Bremerton, WA; and grandchildren Kari Drew (Pat), Lisa Goertz (Jonathan), Kevin Barber (Jill), Joel Casebier (Joan), David Casebier (Anne), Daneen Sturgeon (Scott) and Curtis Scott. At her request, there will be no formal services. Burial will take place at Ivy Green Cemetery.
