Vicki Lee Cleveland, wife, mother, friend and lover of fiber arts, died on Feb. 7, 2025, after a long illness. She was 76.

A lifelong Bremerton resident, Lee loved crocheting, knitting and making beautiful blankets to help keep her friends and family warm. She also was an avid cribbage player. She was a good mother and friend with an infectious laugh, and Lee loved to cook and was famous for her winter stews to warm the soul on cold days.

Survivors include her daughter Kimberly of Bremerton; her brothers Stanley Pierce of Salem, Ore., Roger Pierce of Portland, Ore., and William Lawrence Cleveland of Bremerton; two sisters, Cynthia Russell of St. Mary's, Ga., and Dinah Cleveland of Bremerton; and several nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by her son Ricky Dean Edmonds.

A viewing will be at 9:45 a.m. on February 21 at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Bremerton, followed by graveside services at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bremerton. It will be officiated by Hospice Chaplain Ron McClung of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health.

The family would like to thank Lee's private caregivers, Indira and Katee and Hospice volunteer Claudia. They are also grateful for the great care that Lee received from the nurses, social workers and staff at Franciscan Hospice House in University Place, Tacoma, WA.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Franciscan Hospice House, 2901 Bridgeport Way West, University Place, Tacoma, WA 98466.

A prayer for those mourn:
"This is another day, O Lord. I know not what it will bring forth, but make me ready, Lord, for whatever it may be. If I am to stand up, help me to stand bravely. If I am to sit still, help me to sit quietly. If I am to lie low, help me to do it patiently. And if I am to do nothing, let me do it gallantly. Make these words more than words and give me the Spirit of Jesus. Amen."
