Kenley "KC" Chester White Obituary (1925

Kenley "KC" Chester White, a resident of Seabeck, Washington, passed away on August 14, 2024, at the age of 99 in Bainbridge Island, Washington. KC was born on April 24, 1925, in Ridgeway, Colorado to Chester Lee and Verginia R. White (Collins). KC worked as a metallurgist and boilermaker at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington for 35 years before retiring. He also worked as a farrier. He served in the US Navy from 1943-1949 and was a World War II veteran, serving on the USS Tacalobin and USS Andromeda. He married his wife Shirley A. White (Trudeau) on September 17, 1949, in Bremerton, Washington. KC was a lifetime member of the Silver Spur Horse Club as well as a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. He enjoyed racing, training and shoeing horses and trail riding. He loved all things horses! KC is survived by his loving wife of 74 years Shirley A. White, son Daniel L. White of Seabeck, Washington, grandson Jody White of Bremerton, Washington, granddaughter Carmen Farmer of Seabeck, Washington, as well as three great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Chester Lee and Verginia R. White, daughter D'On C. White, sister Thelma Cooper and 2 sisters and 1 brother who passed as infants. There will be a private service to lay KC to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bremerton, Washington. Donations in KC's name can be made to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital.
