7 Memories preserved

The world has lost a wonderful, gentle, caring man whom it has been a privilege to know. - Jim Weatherill

Dear Anne, Christine and Maryanne: My sincere condolences to you and your families on the loss of your father and grandfather. It hasn't been too long since I lost my own father, so I can truly share your sadness. My sympathy to all. - Nancy Jewell

My dad was the first to lend a helping hand to a neighbor in need. I remember when he rushed across the street in Lakewood to put out a kitchen fire that some neighborhood kids had accidentally started. He saved the day, and I was so proud of him. As a child, I always felt safe when he was around. He loved little kids and even in the hospital shortly before he died, a visiting stranger allowed him to spend a little time with her baby. It brought a smile to his face and a twinkle to his eyes. Thanks for the memories, Dad. I hope there's the perfect fishing hole waiting for you in Heaven. - Janice Rankin

Grandpa, we are glad that God finally took you home. Your legacy will live on with us and our children. Thank you for always being there for me. I hope I continue to make you proud. I will treasure every memory I have of you. Please tell grandma hello for us. We love and miss you both. - Christine Mackleit

I have many fond memories of my grandpa growing up, especially of his visits to our house. He built the playhouse us kids spent countless hours playing in, and always found the best nitecrawlers in my mom's flower beds. He always made time to be there for the important events in my life. We love you, grandpa, and are glad you are at peace. - Emily Gustafson

I will never forget all the summers I spent camping, fishing and travelling with my grandparents. Grandpa, I will always remember the "magic" fishing pole that you gave me--and how it always caught the fish--I bet it would have even worked in the bathtub! I am thankful for those times and will always be blessed to have had such a wonderful grandfather. - Maryanne Weatherill

It is an honor to be the first to sign this guestbook for my father. Our family will always treasure the many memories we have of when he was with us. - Anne Weatherill
