Julie Enger

–

Bremerton, Washington

Julie Ann Enger, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on July 10, 2025, from ovarian cancer at the age of 69.
Born on July 3, 1956, in Seattle, WA, Julie was the daughter of Phyllis Grace (White) and Donald Arthur Jacobsen, Sr. She graduated from Edmonds High School, received training, and worked as a dental assistant. During that time, she met her first husband, David Richard Ford, and together they welcomed three children, Robert Joseph, Cristin Michelle, and Sean Douglas.
Later in life, Julie found love again and married Daniel Alvin Enger. Julie passed away the day before their 10th wedding anniversary.
An avid reader and devoted book lover, Julie worked as a bookseller for several years at Barnes & Nobel and Half Price Books. She held strong beliefs about respecting books – never writing in them, dog-earing pages, laying them face down, or placing them slanted on a bookshelf.
Julie’s radiant smile and joyful spirit touched everyone who knew her. She cherished her family deeply and found great fulfillment singing in her church choir.
Julie will be profoundly missed by her husband Dan; her children – Robert Joseph, Cristin Michelle, and Sean Douglas; her step-children – Steven Daniel Enger, Marina Lynn Enger, and Rachel Danielle Enger; her siblings; extended family; and many others.
In lieu of flowers, Julie requested that donations be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) at https://diy.ocrahope.org/julieenger
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 3pm at the Silverdale Lutheran Church in Silverdale, WA. A reception will follow.
