Jay Donovan St. Onge Obituary (1962

Jay St. Onge passed away on May 4, 2021 from cancer. He had just celebrated his 59th birthday. Jay was born Feb. 22, 1962 in Seattle, WA and was the son of Rene and Dorothy St. Onge. When he was diagnosed with Down Syndrome, his parents insisted he live with them where he had a full and productive life. In 1982, the family moved to Port Ludlow, WA. Jay graduated from Port Townsend High School and over the years he worked in a bakery, an auto supply store, QFC grocery store and Port Ludlow Golf Course. He also attended The Gathering Place where he did many pieces of art, exhibiting his work around the city. Following his parents' deaths, he moved to Bainbridge Island to live with his sister, Lynn Ray. He attended Stephen's House participating in many lively activities. Again, as an avid and productive artist, he displayed his work around the Island. Jay enjoyed boating, travelling and gardening. He dearly loved his nieces and nephews and his friends at Stephen's House. He was a happy prankster. Jay is survived by his sisters, Lynn Ray and Renee St.Onge Foster both of Bainbridge Island and his nephews and nieces: Aaron Foster, Adam Foster, Ryun Foster, Robin LaCourse, Roxanne Foster, Jordan Foster, Melissa Ray, Jennifer Martin and 11 great-nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed. A family memorial will be held at his Port Ludlow home on June 26th.
