Janet Taylor

–

Port Orchard, Washington

Jan, you were my favorite hello every morning!

The best of each and every day.

And the hardest for me to say goodbye!

Jan would say I’m not walking away, I'm accepting reality and sometimes that is the most difficult move anyone can make. Goodbye truly defines this without explanation so goodbye, so I can now say hello.

Janet Louise (Morehouse) Taylor went to say hello to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 13th, 2026 at 78 plus years of age. She leaves behind a loving husband of 52 years Christopher Albert Taylor of Port Orchard and a daughter Summer Anne (Taylor) Yost and her husband Trevor of Gig Harbor.

Jan was born on February 3rd, 1948 to Wes and Dorothy Morehouse of Everett Washington. Her love of all things art would become her life ambition and following her graduation from Everett High School in 1966 she attended the Burnley School of Art. Her love for art and firm belief in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior guided her decisions on how she served throughout her life's journey.

Jan met her husband Chris while both worked at Nordstrom’s. It was love at first sight, they were married on May 24th, 1974 at First Presbyterian Church in Everett. The couple was blessed to share and enjoy each other for 52 years of marriage.

Jan was feisty, fearless and outspoken for Christ as her savior and her passion will sorely be missed. All Jan ever wanted was to be unconditionally loved in life and death.

So Praise the Lord her faith persevered in life so she can now say HELLO!
