James “Jim” Graham Sekor, age 91, passed away on August 4, 2026, leaving behind a life filled with love, accomplishment, adventure, and cherished memories.

Jim is survived by Patricia Sekor, the love of his life. Jim and Patricia began their married life in a wonderfully unique and memorable way—they were married at Sea-Tac Airport. Their marriage grew into a lifelong partnership filled with love, companionship, and many adventures.

Together, Jim and Patricia enjoyed traveling and had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout Europe, creating wonderful memories and experiencing different countries and cultures along the way.

Jim and Patricia also shared a special love for dogs. Jim took great joy in raising and caring for their dogs alongside Patricia. Their dogs were an important part of their home and their life together, bringing them years of companionship, happiness, and wonderful memories.

Jim was highly educated and accomplished professionally. He earned an MBA and had a background in chemical engineering. He spent his entire career in project management in Seattle, bringing his knowledge, experience, and dedication to his work throughout the years.

Some of Jim’s projects included work with the City of Tacoma, the Metropolitan Park District, the City of Seattle Parks and Recreation Department, Fort Lawton, Discovery Park, and the United Indians of All Tribes Foundation. His work allowed him to contribute to projects that would serve the community for generations.

Although Jim took great pride in his education and career, the life he built with Patricia was especially dear to him. Their years together—traveling, caring for their dogs, and sharing everyday life—created a lifetime of treasured memories.

Jim will be remembered for his devotion to Patricia, his accomplishments, his love of animals, his sense of adventure, and a life well lived. He will be deeply missed by Patricia, his family, his friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
