Geri M. Freiboth Vondersmith
January 26, 1935 - February 7, 2015
Daughter of Walter D. Denton and Janice M (Dilling) Denton.
Geri was raised in Suquamish and graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1953.
She married Delmer Freiboth in 1954 and raised seven children. She worked in the home as a seamstress for many years and then as an Upholster. Later she worked as a receptionist at Schutt Clinic in Bremerton.
When Island Savings and Loan opened a branch in Poulsbo, she was their first employee and worked there until her retirement. In the years after the untimely passing of Delmer in 1985, she was reintroduced to former beau Doug Vondersmith and they were married in 1990, adding 6 grown children to her family. After losing Doug in 2009, she spent her time visiting friends, mentoring her children, spoiling her grandchildren, adoring her great-grandchildren. She was an avid quilter and blessed many people with her beautiful quilts, and made many quilts for the Quilts of Valor program.
She is survived by her children, David Freiboth (Renee), Joan Morey (Mark), Maureen Narimatsu (Ray), Sharon Greany (Mike), Glen Freiboth, Scott Freiboth (Christy), and Mark Freiboth; and Lynn Bucannan (Mike), Lori Hinz, Donald Vondersmith (Mary), Danny Vondersmith (Ruth) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, and friend.
