Edward James Canady

In loving memory of Edward James Canady, a devoted and loving father, grandfather and husband, who dedicated his life to his country and family, age 58, of Bremerton died of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, Sunday, March 4, 2007, in Bremerton. He was born September 1, 1948 on Staten Island, N.Y. He served in the Army, reaching the rank of specialist fourth class before being honorably discharged in 1972. On Dec. 1, 2000, he married Elizabeth L. Brock in Tacoma.
Mr. Canady worked in hospital maintenance and drywall. He also was a storage facility manager and worked with the cemetery grounds crew at Ivy Green Cemetery. Edward enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, movies and comic books. He was a member of the Irish Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of Bremerton; his daughters, Samantha Canady, Dawn Depasquale and Shanna Canady; his sister, Patricia Manderson; his grandchildren, Brittany, Destiny, Daniel, Damien and Joseph; and special friends Brock and Stephen Beauclair. A memorial service will be held at the Port Orchard Masonic Temple from 1PM to 5PM, Friday, March 9, 2007. He will be remembered always and missed by all of his surviving family and friends.
