E. Ruth Jacobson

Ruth Jacobson of Poulsbo, WA passed away on November 7, 2004 in Bremerton, WA. She was 92 years of age. Ruth was born to Joseph and Jennie-Kaziah (Goheen) Higby in Lewiston, ID on August 15, 1912. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1930 and graduated from Clarkston Secretarial College in 1932. On May 10, 1969, Ruth married Arnold Jacobson in Poulsbo, WA. Her first husband, Carl Dees Anderson, passed away in 1962. Ruth was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling extensively to Europe and Africa. She also enjoyed gardening and entertaining. She was Methodist.
Ruth is survived by her husband Arnold of Poulsbo, WA; son, Michael Carl Anderson (Milagros) of Costa Rica; daughters, Karen Gale Dees Anderson Wolf (Michael) of Kennewick, WA, Roseanne Jacobson McCullough (Steve) of Wagner, OK, and Arnetta Marie Jacobson Cheatham of Poulsbo, WA; brother, Donald Higby of Boring, OR; sister, Arleta Van Guilder of Hansville, WA; 10 grandchildren, Michelle, Melanie (Charles), Chelynn, Charles (Marie Clair), Paul (Heather), Fransisco (Herlinde), Samantha (Joshua), Esther, Brandee (Wayne), and Amanda; great-grandchildren, 16. She was preceded in death by sister's Peg Higby Brown, Mable Eunice Harris, and Dorothy Higby Williams; brother's Samuel Higby, and Carl "Bill" Higby.
A memorial service will be held at the Stone Chapel in Poulsbo on November 20, 2004 at 2pm. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Cherry Grove Memorial Park in Poulsbo, WA.
