Lake Stevens, Washington
Doreen Lytle, born Doreen Margaret Brackin on the 5th of March, 1957 in Seattle, WA, lived a life filled with courage, humor, charisma, and compassion. She was a beacon of strength and resilience, whose spirit was as vibrant as the flowers she loved to tend in her garden. Doreen had a unique way of turning the ordinary into extraordinary, whether it was transforming her home into a magical wonderland for Christmas and Halloween or finding joy in her visits to Marshalls and Home Goods. Her laughter was infectious, and her wit could light up any room.
Doreen's life was deeply rooted in love and devotion towards her family and friends. Her children, Angela(Jason) and Justin, were the heartbeats of her life, while her grandchildren, Zane, Ashlen, Shylynn, and Cooper, were the twinkling stars in her universe. She was a compassionate soul who found comfort and companionship in her furry friend Samson, after the loss of her beloved husband Richard. Despite the health challenges she faced, Doreen showcased immense courage when she became a heart transplant recipient in 2006. Her life was a testament to the verse from the Book of Joshua (1:9), "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
After living an enriching life in places like Black Diamond, Ravensdale, and Auburn, Doreen made Lake Stevens her home for the past twelve years. Her passing has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, including her sister Marlene(Rob), friends Patti (Brian), and nephews Dylan(Shawnna) and Kale(Emily). She now joins her parents, Harl Jr. and Valdis, and brother Steven in eternal rest.
