Donna Jean Avery

Donna Jean Avery, 78, passed away in Bremerton on December 1, 2009. The daughter of George and Anna Irvine, Donna was born in Spokane, WA, on January 8, 1931. Donna married Robert E. Avery on July 21, 1949 in Spokane. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed time with her family and grand dogs and having lunch with dear friends, Lou, Dee and Jo. She particularly loved cruising the A & W with Robert in their custom-built car - The Avery. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister, and good friends, Bert and Bill Gwenn. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert; sons, Jim (Diane), Terry (Lee), and Larry (Vicki); daughter, Kathy Reddick (Terry); sister, Eunice Shepard of Spokane, WA; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation for Donna will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009, from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday, December 5, 2009, from 10 am to 12 pm at Lewis Funeral Chapel, 5303 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, WA, 98312. A memorial service will be held at Lewis Funeral Chapel on Saturday, December 5 at 1:00 pm.
