Dale Dexter Fawcett began his next great adventure at 5am on February 19, 2015. He died at home in the arms of his loving wife Carol, one breath after telling her he loved her.
Dale was born November 4, 1947 in Potsdam, New York to John and Evelyn Fawcett. The family moved to Santa Ana, California when Dale was six months old. At 18, Dale joined Hughes Aircraft in Newport Beach, California as a frequency filter technician and by 19 was promoted as the youngest manager ever in charge of the top-secret frequency control devices for the Lunar Excursion Module (LEM), fire control systems for Vietnam missile systems, and the Surveyor Satellite.
In the mid 70's, after leaving Hughes and finishing college, Dale worked for the first company that created Diagnostic Ultrasound. He helped pioneer the first certification for Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS). After training thousands of medical doctors in hospitals around the world for 15 years, he was recruited by Digital Equipment (DEC) as one of only two managers employed outside the company.
During his management years, travels, and time living in the Netherlands, he pursued the finest medical and stress reduction equipment and cutting-edge meditation methods. He met many of the world's spiritual leaders and mentors and began to teach polarity therapy, fire walking, Qigong, meditation, and NLP while living in Southern California. After he moved to Washington and married Carol Despeaux he continued to practice and teach many other healing modalities. He started a business with his wife Carol that continues today.
Dale is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Despeaux Fawcett, his two children Mark and Carole Fawcett of California, and his stepson Clifford (Tres) DesPeaux and wife, Angie, of Kirkland, Washington. He is also survived by brothers Lester (Pat) Fawcett of New York, Ed Fawcett of California, and his close cousin Janet (Ray) Parks of California, along with numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
For the past 30 years, Dale owned his own research companies in the fields of health and wellness and raising consciousness. He was passionate about everything in life--his work, family, music, uplifting movies, his wife's writing, their cats, and especially inspiring others to live to their fullest potential.
A memorial website in his name is at www.DaleFawcett.com. Scholarship funds will be established to help young entrepreneurs and musicians.
