Clifford J. M. Strand

Clifford J. M. Strand, 76, died on Sunday, April 4, 2005 in Bremerton, WA. Clifford was born to Carl and Rosella (Youngberg) Strand on June 23, 1928 in St. John, ND. Clifford graduated from Bremerton High School in 1946. He married Joyce Sanges in Bremerton, WA on Jan. 29, 1948. Mr. Strand worked at various grocery stores in Kitsap County as a meat cutter for over 50 years prior to retiring in 1992. Mr. Strand was also a volunteer fire fighter for ten years in Bremerton. Clifford enjoyed playing golf, horse racing and taking care of his family. He also enjoyed real estate and often thought he might have liked to have made a career of it had he not been a meat cutter. He also loved to build things and could fix anything. Mr. Strand is survived by his wife Joyce Strand of Bremerton, WA; his sons Jim Strand and his wife, Kathi of Bremerton, WA, Brian Strand of Bremerton, WA, Steven Strand and his wife, Janie of Silverdale, WA; his daughters Cindy Neubauer and her husband, Ken of Bremerton, WA, Sue Hamblet and her husband, Brad of Silverdale, WA, Carol Strand of Poulsbo, WA, Lori Reeves and her husband, Steve of Bremerton, WA, Julie Newman and her husband, Bob of Bemerton, WA; his brother Carl Strand and his wife, Sue of Springfield, IL; 18 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Strand's parents, his daughter Toni Strand, his brother Bob Strand and his sister Grayce Kelly precede him in death.
