With a spirit as vibrant as a butterfly's wings, Charlotte Mae Shadle, known affectionately as Char, embarked on her final journey on July 25, 2026. Born on October 3, 1948, in Quincy, CA, USA, Charlotte embraced life with an enviable blend of creativity and generosity. She was a woman whose heart was as colorful as the gardens she tenderly nurtured and as inclusive as the puzzles she delighted in solving. Her life was a beautiful tapestry of love, threaded with the green hues of her favorite color and embroidered with the fluttering wings of her cherished butterflies.
Charlotte was a loving presence in the lives of many, dedicating herself to the care of others as a Nurse's Aid in the field of healthcare. She embraced the essence of the saying, "Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see," by Mark Twain. Her love for her family was matched only by her love for her hobbies. Whether she was crocheting a warm blanket, engaging in a spirited game of Uno, or losing herself in the delicate melodies of Indian flute music, Charlotte's zest for life shone brightly. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as gardening, reading books, and coloring. Her generous spirit was reflected in her ability to make everyone around her happy.
She became more aware that she wanted to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, our savior!
Charlotte was a resident of Bremerton, Washington, having previously lived in Enterprise, Oregon, Redding California, Chelan Washington, Tacoma Washington, and Salinas, California. She was widowed, having been deeply loved by her late husband, Dennis Shadle. She is survived by her sons, Garry Shadle, Ron Landowski, Eric Shadle, and daughter-in-law, Jamie Ankeny. She was preceded in death by her beloved children, Tami Gross and Dixie Shadle, her brother Gary James, her sister Linda James, and her parents, Betty James and Lawerence Near.
Charlotte's life was a testament to the power of love, the joy of creativity, and the strength of the human spirit. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, a generous friend, and a spirited woman whose heart fluttered with the beauty of life, just like the butterflies she so adored.. some of her favorite foods were, butternut ice cream, whoppers with cheese, Three Musketeers, cherry pies, Junior mints, Bananas, Chinese food, And any chocolate from Lindor.
