Carolyn Zipeto

–

Poulsbo, Washington

We are deeply saddened to share the news of our loss:

Carolyn Zipeto was a loving wife, mother of four (and of many "auxiliary children"), eldest sister, and trusted friend. She left this world far too soon on June 21, 2023 at the age of 58 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

While her children were her life's work, Carolyn touched many others with her caring and deeply creative spirit, her zest for life and adventure, and an abiding love for simple pleasures.

Carolyn's art studio was her "happy place" where she spent many hours creating beautiful items alongside her family. She found so much joy in the chaos and the birth of new ideas.

When her husband could pry her away from there, Carolyn could be found exploring the hiking trails of the Olympic Peninsula, fishing the waters of Puget Sound, or out seeking adventures along the roadways of the West. Sitting around the campfire with a beverage alongside her favorite people was always the best way to wrap up a long day.

Carolyn was also a gifted designer and lover of renovating homes. She could recognize the diamonds-in-the-rough that others would overlook. Then she would set to cutting and polishing to bring out its best qualities and make it sparkle.

Throughout her life, Carolyn had the magical ability to look past adversity and see the potential in everything, in all of us. That is her gift to all of us- an abiding sense of wonder and joy for everything our world has to offer.

A celebration of life will be held at the home she loved so much around the time of the autumn equinox in September. Details will be forthcoming.
