Beverly Chase

–

Silverdale, Washington

Beverly Virginia Chase, beloved mother and grandmother, passed into eternity on October 9th at the age of 91. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack, daughter Shelley, and parents Dorothy and Bernard Clapp. She is survived by three married daughters, Jan (Randy) Seiersen, Vicki (Brent) Boon, and Julie (Scott) Johnson, with eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Beverly was born in Seattle as one of four Clapp children. After graduating from Franklin High School and beauty school she married Jack Chase. Together they raised their three children while living in Seattle-WA, Stow-MA, Providence-RI, Kingston-WA, and finally settled in her beloved community of Poulsbo-WA. After losing her husband in 1983, she served as Women’s Ministry Director at Christ Memorial Church in Poulsbo. She loved to travel and served with YWAM in ministries around the world. Later she migrated to Silverdale and in the past 13 years she lived with her daughter, Vicki, in Snohomish before transitioning to Crista Shores Assisted Living this past year.

Beverly is known for her devotion to Christ, for being a loving mother and grandmother, and for being a dedicated and generous friend. She had the Light of the Knowledge of the Glory of God in the Face of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6). Her heart was that others would also know the Light and she was always pointing people to Jesus Christ. She leaves behind a legacy of faith to her loved ones and will be deeply missed, though we are joyous in the knowledge that she made it safely into the arms of her Savior, our Blessed Hope.
