Resty Pineda Mangio Obituary (1930

Resty Pineda Mangio, was born in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines on September 29, 1030 to Felipe and Ursula Mangio. His siblings are Marta Magulabnan who preceded him, Benito Mangio, Peregrina Mangio and Asuncion Vega, all in the Philippines. He went to Pampanga High School and continued his college education in engineering at Mapua Institute of Technology, Manila. He could not resist the call of the US Navy, so he joined in May, 1954 and retired in May 1980. He served in Da Nang , Vietnam during the war. He married Flora Manapsal and were blessed with four children, Redentor, who died in California, Floresma Hernandez who lives in Canada, Russell married to Kaye, Las Vegas, NV, and Roswell, married to Carol, Seattle WA. Flora preceded him in 1980. He has two grandchildren by Floresma, Veronica of Mount Vernon and Denise Hernandez of California. Veronica Hernandez has two children with Fernando Martinez, Adrien and Miele . He also has three grandchildren by Russell and Kaye, Ben, Flora and Russell, Jr. He married Agnes Soto in January 1981 and were blessed with two children, Richard Soto Mangio and Dianne Soto Mangio who both live in Shoreline, WA. Resty loved the outdoors. Fishing, keeping the cars cleaned and waxed and having a well manicured lawn delighted him. His favorite sports are boxing, basketball and baseball. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4215 Pine Rd. NE, Bremerton, WA Rosary at 10:30 AM Mass at 11:00 AM Reception to follow at the Social Hall. Military honors and internment at Forrest Lawn Cemetery at 2:00PM
