EvLyn Mae Egan Obituary (1911

EvLyn Mae Egan, 88 of Bremerton Died February 2, 2000, at Harrison memorial Hospital. She had been a resident of Kitsap County for the past 57 years, She was born Dec. 7, 1911 in Elma, Iowa, to Stephen and Catherine (Biwer) Kinney. She was raised and educated in Elma, graduating from Immaculate Conception High School in 1930. She married George Egan in Elma on Aug.30, 1934. Mr Egan preceded his wife in death in 1973. She had been a keypunch supervisor at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1973 after 19 years. She later was a homemaker. EvLyn was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Bremerton. She participated in the church's altar society. Survivors include four sons, Owen Sr of Glendale,AZ.Kenneth of Fayetteville, GA., John of Bremerton and Jerome of Buckley; one daughter Joyce Brand of Olympia;one brother, Stephen Kinney of Hemet,CA.; one sister, Lorine Osterman; six grandchildren, Owen Jr., Patricia, Michele, Kyle, Jody and Kaye; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
