Eleazar Odivilas Malaki Obituary (1951

Eleazar "Ely" Odivilas Malaki of Bremerton, WA, son of late Isabelo and Natividad Malaki, passed away on April 18, 2021 of natural causes. Ely was born in Hinunangan, Philipines on March 12, 1951. Ely's family immigrated to the United States when he was 8 years old and then finally settled in Waipahu, Hawaii in the 10th grade. He soon met and fell in love with his high school sweetheart and beloved wife. They were married on September 2, 1972. From 1970-1978 Ely served in the US Navy and from 1979-1995 served in civil service with the Pearl Harbor Naval Base Police. He also served the Pearl City, HI community by coaching youth soccer and softball. Ely retired in 1995 and moved to Silverdale, WA to enjoy time with his wife, children and grandchildren. His love of woodworking drew him to complete the "Cabinet Making and Architectural Woodworking" Program at Seattle Central College. Ely's legacy will live on with his loving wife of almost 50 years, Helen Linda Malaki, his three children, Elaina Paredes and her husband Kyle Paredes, Anthony Malaki and his wife Stephanie Malaki and Elizabeth Wright and her husband Mike Wright as well as five grandchildren Isaiah Wright, Meleina Wright, Ely G. Malaki, Kylena Paredes, and Estella Malaki and his two sisters Isabela Cuerpo-Clark and her husband Craig Clark and Beth Quilangtang and her husband Ken Quilangtang.
