Adelbert Langton Obituary (1922

Adelbert (Del) Langton, 87, left this world to be with his Lord and Savior on Jan. 6, 2009. He was born in Tacoma, WA to Morris and Marjorie (Botsford) Langton on Jan 1, 1922. Del spent his youth in Walla Walla, WA, graduating from Walla Walla High School in 1940. He was a veteran serving his country in the Navy during WWII from 1941 to 1945. Del began his career at PSNS in 1948, completed his apprenticeship as Journeyman Pipefitter in 1952, and subsequently retired from PSNS. Del was a member of the Elks and Eagles and a former volunteer fire fighter with the Westgate Fire Department. He enjoyed gardening and tending to his fruit orchard. Del was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Marvin Langton, sister, Arlene Bartlett, and one grandchild, Melissa Jean Barnes. He is survived by his daughters: Claudia Barnes (Doug) Carriere, MS; Eleanor Pettitt(Steve) Pensacola, FL and LoRayne Craig(Rick) Lynnwood, WA; Brothers: Floyd(Betty), Bremerton; Albert(Bernie), Manson; Stan(Jeanette), Spokane; Sisters: Gertrude(Ernie), Kent; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Lewis Funeral Chapel on Friday at 10:00am, Jan. 9, 2009 with services to follow at 11:00am.
